Since 1903, we’ve been rewarding achievement by designing and delivering fair and inclusive assessment. We do this because we believe that quality assessment is an essential ingredient for a good education. We’re the most chosen exam board in England and we set and mark the papers for around half of all GCSEs and A-levels. Our qualifications are taught in 30 countries around the world.

But we’re more than an exam board. As an independent education charity we reinvest all of our income. From funding cutting-edge research, to supporting new insights that help raise the bar in assessment practice internationally, we’re always focused on fair and inclusive assessment and the positive impact it has on teaching, learning and society.
In 120 years, our mission hasn’t changed, but the way we improve assessment keeps on evolving.

MathsWatch

MathsWatch is an award-winning solution that supports teachers' delivery of the Maths curriculum while reducing their workload.

We provide teachers and their students with high-quality videos covering every Maths topic, combined with banks of interactive questions that can be used for classwork/homework/assessment/independent learning.

Our innovative marking algorithms have revolutionised the way teachers can deliver quality Maths lessons to their students as we are the only platform worldwide able to give marks for working out and not merely for final answers. This revolutionary feature makes the MathsWatch experience much more realistic and beneficial to students than most traditional quiz setting platforms.

Furthermore, our popular modelled exam series offer the best possible preparation to students before their final GCSE/IGCSE/SATs exams. They can see their grade progression as they advance and clearly identify their strengths and areas of development. A truly immersive experience.

All this is offered to schools by MathsWatch at one of the most competitive price points currently on the market.

Rethink Maths

Rethink Maths is a new education organisation founded in 2025 by a team of experienced mathematics leaders committed to improving outcomes for every learner. The organisation works with schools, trusts and education systems in the UK and internationally to design high-quality curriculum resources, professional development and innovative programmes that strengthen mathematics teaching.

Rethink Maths is built around five core missions: Foundations, Confidence, Inclusion, Real-world and Teaching. The team focuses on helping all pupils develop secure understanding, positive attitudes and long-term success in mathematics. Our initial work places particular emphasis on early years and primary education, ensuring strong foundations that support future learning.

Rethink Maths combines research-informed approaches with practical classroom application, aiming to reduce teacher workload while improving impact. The team is currently working in partnership with organisations including the Victorian Department of Education in Australia and The Richmond Project, delivering large-scale curriculum and early mathematics initiatives.

We are here to make a lasting difference in the way maths is taught, learned and loved by children, by adults, by everyone.

Maths Advance

Maths Advance is designed to support the consistent embedding of problem-solving across Key Stages 3 and 4, without accelerating the curriculum or adding to teacher workload.

It provides teachers and pupils with a large bank of carefully designed, curriculum-mapped questions and extended investigations. Each is structured to develop reasoning, provoke discussion and extend understanding. Critically, the platform is designed for classroom use. Teachers can quickly access ready-to-use materials that support full lessons, enrichment activities, or targeted challenge.

Maths Advance is particularly valued by departments looking to move beyond routine practice and embed meaningful problem-solving as a regular, structured part of their teaching, while also reducing the time required to plan high-quality extension work.

Axiom Maths

Axiom Maths is a maths education charity on a mission to help every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power. Every year 30,000 children who were top performers at the end of primary school don’t go on to get top GCSE grades in maths. We aim to change that by partnering with schools across England and Wales to run fully-funded in-school or online maths circles. Pupils tackle challenging and rewarding maths problems in a supportive social group where the subject is valued.
